passed away peacefully surrounded by Family & Friends. He was the son of the late Mary Tente and the late Calvin F Nicholson Sr.
John is survived by his son Jason Nicholson of New Jersey, his wife Linda and their beloved children Alyssa & Jakob, Sisters Joyce Mullen of Pawtucket, Mary Nicholson of Ohio, Jane Nicholson of Providence, and Patricia McPeake of Arizona, Brothers Thomas Nicholson of Cumberland and Calvin F Nicholson Jr. of Pawtucket, as well and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Susan Harvey and his brother Kenneth Nicholson.
Born in Pawtucket he resided at Sandcastle Estates in South Attleboro for the last 6 years where he was the Treasurer for the community and initiated many activities, functions and a Quarterly Newsletter. He worked at Osram Sylvania for 40 years as a Glass Equipment Mechanic while also serving as an officer in the Local Union and the Employees Association. He was a member and officer of the Garfield Social Club in Central Falls, RI.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation on Saturday, October 27th from 1 - 4pm at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, followed by a funeral service at 4pm. Burial is private. In Lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Rhode Island 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904-9826.
